Hi, my name is Ben and I'm the owner of Overwrite Visuals.

Over the last few years, I've honed my skills working as a freelance videographer (Ben Nelson Media) and staff videographer for WA State Legislative Support Services. During this time my work has covered a variety of areas including real estate, corporate, promotional, education/training, and narrative content.

I currently balance content creation with pursuing opportunities in commercial, narrative, and documentary, as well as personal passion projects. Narrative filmmaking is where my true passion lies, and I'm dedicated to working towards directing my own full-length feature film.

  • The turnaround time for a video project varies depending on the scope of the project. I’ll work diligently to deliver quality work in a timely manner, without compromising on the creative process or attention to detail.

  • Certainly, staging a home can significantly improve its visual appeal and help potential buyers envision themselves living in that space. To achieve this, it's advisable to remove or conceal personal items, toiletries, cords/cables, clutter, trash cans, pet bowls, and beds. Maintaining simplicity and minimalism is key to showcasing as much space as possible. As a videographer, I document the home as-is, so it's important to ensure it looks its best before recording.

  • Yes. I am a Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot through the FAA.

    Please note that aerial/drone work is dependent on Federal and State Laws, as well as Weather Conditions.

  • In short, no.

    Copyright laws protect the ownership of artists' works, including photographers and videographers, who retain their copyrights while granting the buyer (the Client) a license to use the final product. The relationship is similar to purchasing music, where the musician retains the rights to their songs, but fans can enjoy them through online services.

    This means that any images and audio captured by Overwrite Visuals are owned by Overwrite Productions, LLC and its owner (Ben Nelson) unless otherwise specified in a contract.
